Concrete Grades We Supply
Choosing the right concrete grade matters. Too weak and the structure may fail; over-specified and you're paying more than you need to. Our team will always advise the correct grade for your project, taking into account the structural engineer's specification, exposure class and the intended use.
All grades are available as ready mix (batched at our Tetney depot) or as volumetric concrete (mixed on-site). Both are produced to BS EN 206 standards.
Grade Guide
C20 / GEN 3
Domestic slabs, garden paths, light-duty oversite
The lightest grade we supply. Ideal for non-structural domestic applications where vehicle loading is minimal.
C25 / ST2
House foundations, strip footings, trench fill
The standard grade for residential foundations across the UK. Meets most domestic structural engineer specifications.
C30
Driveways, commercial floors, structural slabs
Our most popular grade. Strong enough for regular vehicle traffic, exposed surfaces and structural elements.
C35
Basements, retaining walls, columns, precast
Specified for higher structural demands and aggressive exposure conditions. Often engineer-specified.
C40
Heavy structural, marine, civil engineering
High-strength concrete for the most demanding applications. Supplied to a specific mix design.

If you have a structural engineer's specification, share it with us and we'll match the mix exactly. If you don't, describe your project and we'll recommend the appropriate grade. We'd rather advise you correctly than sell you the wrong product.
